Two out of three. One out of three. Those are more than just numbers. Those represent the number of people that are overweight in the United States and those that are obese. For every three people you see walking down the street, only one is of a healthy weight. That is a problem.
The number of benefits from exercising are endless and I could fill a Harry Potter-sized book with them. Today, I am going to provide you with five big benefits from regular exercise.
This is pretty obvious but the more you move, the more calories you burn. The more calories you burn, the more weight you are going to lose. Don’t overthink exercise. Find physical activities you like to do such as hiking, biking and lifting weights.

If you are obese, chances of disease skyrocket. Conditions such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes and even the common cold increase if you do not exercise regularly. If you have high blood pressure, are you pre-diabetic or maybe you get multiple colds every winter? Regular physical activity can help decrease those risks.
Performing in the gym sets the tone for performing in your day-to-day life. Regular exercise has been shown to increase focus, mental sharpness, productivity and confidence. If you have those four things working in your favor, you will dominate your job and live each to its fullest.
Chances are strong you don’t get enough sleep. Most people don’t. Exercise can enhance your sleep quality though. Regular physical activity helps your circadian rhythms so you aren’t tossing and turning all night and wake up in the morning feeling ed.
